The international career of Nymphenburg animal figurines began at the beginning of the 20th century. Artists such as Theodor Kärner, Josef Wackerle, August Göhring and Luise Terletzki-Scherf shaped the manufactory's unmistakable style by giving their figurines a lifelike representation and unique color splendor as well as an idiosyncratic character.
