Description
One of the most extraordinary and popular items from the manufactory is a "Memento mori". When Ignaz Günther probably designed his majestic crucifix in 1756, a skull was found at the foot of the cross in addition to bones. With its distinctive eye area and the stylized shape of the jaw, the four centimetre small skull made it into a large artefact. Four individual cast parts are required to form this miniature in the master workshop - only the jaw has its own mould. In the workshops of the Nymphenburg Manufactory, a wide variety of skulls are made in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, in biscuit, black, white and the colourful Skull Edition initiated in 2010. Of course, the skull can also be painted according to your own creativity and imagination - contact us!
