The rhinoceros, which was modelled by Peter Anton von Verschaffelt in 1770 based on the first specimen of an Indian rhinoceros from Bengal to live in Europe, appears more contemporary now than it did then. Clara is a classical conversation piece. She is the topic of the moment wherever she appears; she inspires, excites and decorates with fascinating beauty.
